About the Farm
Café de Eleta was founded in 1978 by don Fernando Eleta Almarán, a visionary entrepreneur who transformed what began as a diversified agricultural operation into Panama's most prominent coffee estate. Originally established for growing vegetables and raising sheep for wool production, the estate underwent a strategic transformation in 1995 when it began specializing exclusively in coffee cultivation, planting its first lot of arabica coffee using the Catuaí variety
